Musical Treasures for the Organ is a documentation of music played on the three oldest organs of the diocese of Karlstad, located in the middle-western part of Sweden. The Swedish organist Marcus Torén plays a wide variety of works from the late renaissance period to the 20th century. These well-sounding one-manual instruments built in 1707, 1795 and 1820 are to be found in Nyed church, the old church of Sundals Ryr and the Eskilsäter church. The repertoire has been carefully chosen to match the instruments. The recording sessions took place in July 3-5, 2006 by the sound engineer Alexander Häggström.
